The purpose of Townsend Community Church is to reach as many people as possible with the message of salvation through Jesus Christ, and to assist believers in experiencing a closer relationship with God.
There are four main activities that work to fulfill this calling:
Worship - drawing closer to God through praise and prayer.
Instruction - understanding the mind of God through teaching and preaching.
Fellowship - ministry to, and support of each other.
Evangelism - spreading the message of God's love to those who do not know.

25 Years at Townsend Community Church
2012 promises to be an exciting year for us as
we celebrate our 25th anniversary of sharing the
gospel and God's love here in Townsend.
It was in 1987, when a group of committed
believers made the move from the Hartford
Church of God, to the new ministry in Townsend.
God has been faithful through those 25 years
and we have done our best to be faithful to Him.
There will be many special opportunities to
celebrate throughout 2012, and I hope you
will try and share some of them with us.
